About My Art

Impressionist Realism with a Narrative Heart

My work lives in the space between precise observation and expressive abstraction. I define my style as Impressionist Realism: a deliberate practice of suggesting and simplifying the environment to pull focus toward the heart of the piece. While I dedicate rigorous attention to form, proportion, and the "human dynamic," I find my joy in the soul of a portrait rather than the clinical nature of hyper-realism.

After years of exploring various genres and mediums, I have returned to my "old friend," oil painting. It is here that I can truly harness the power of dramatic lighting. By pushing value and color intensity, I create a cinematic tension that other mediums simply cannot replicate. Whether the subject is absurd, noir-inspired, or a quiet moment of vulnerability, my primary goal remains the same: to give the viewer pause and provide a moment of genuine entertainment.

Every piece in my shop represents my absolute best work. I treat my studio practice with the same high-spec integrity I’ve honed throughout my career, ensuring that I never dilute my inventory with anything less than excellence.
